Britney Spears is considering filing a restraining order against her mother, it has been reported. The 'Toxic' singer is said to have visited her attorney earlier this week to make enquiries about the order, which would keep her mother Lynne away from Britney's children, reports gossip website X17online. Sources claimed the troubled star was furious with Lynne for making her check into rehab to seek help for her alleged alcohol addiction and post-natal depression earlier this year.

Lynne also reportedly sided with Britney's estranged husband Kevin Federline during the couple's custody battle for their two sons, 21-month-old Sean
Preston and Jayden James, nine months. Lynne recently insisted her relationship with her daughter was improving, but added Britney still has a long way to go.
She said: "It's sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another. "Britney Jean Spears is the sweetest and the most sensitive and loving of all my children. She's just figuring things out."
