Britney
Spears
has
become
her
own
manager
and
publicist.
The
singer,
who
is
still
signed
to
her
label
Jive
Records,
has
nonetheless
decided
to
carry
out
all
her
business
deals
on
her
own,
and
decide
what
direction
she
wants
her
career
to
take.
"She
is
doing
all
of
her
own
business
now," the
New
York
Post
quoted
a
source,
as
saying.
And
in
keeping
with
her
new
persona,
Britney
was
spotted
at
Aspen
recently
"signing
contracts".
Britney
recently
cut
ties
with
her
manager
Larry
Rudolf,
her
mother
Lynne,
and
her
publicist.
And,
it
seems
that
one
of
the
first
things
that
Britney
will
be
doing,
is
opening
the
LAX
nightclub
in
Las
Vegas,
a
rep
for
the
hotspot
revealed.
The
investors
for
the
nightspot,
which
opens
on
31
August,
includes
Christina
Aguilera
and
Nicole
Richie's
former
fiance
DJ
AM.
"Britney
Spears
will
host
the
grand
opening,"
People
magazine
quoted
the
rep,
as
saying.
However,
it
is
not
known
if
the
'Toxic' star
will
perform
on
the
occasion.
Meanwhile,
pop
star
Christina
Aguilera
has
leapt
to
the
defence
of
fellow
singer
Britney
Spears' parenting
skills.
The
'Dirrty'
singer,
who
is
reportedly
expecting
her
first
child
with
husband
Jordan
Bratman,
recently
sympathised
with
the
'Toxic'
singer
by
saying
that
she
is
a
wonderful
mother.
"Britney
is
a
good
person
and
a
good
mom," Contactmusic
quoted
Aguilera,
as
saying.
Though
Aguilera
claimed
that
the
pressures
of
childhood
fame
have
had
adverse
effects
on
her
pal
Spears,
she
insisted
that
the
troubled
singer
is
not
a
bad
parent.
"She's
been
under
so
much
pressure
since
she
was
a
child.
I
don't
think
any
of
us
should
judge
her
or
jump
to
conclusions.
She
loves
her
boys
and
they're
turning
out
great,"
she
said.
