Kaiser Cheifs apologize to Liam
Thursday, February 08, 2007
Kaiser Chiefs lead singer Ricky Wilson apologised to Liam Gallagher for being "rubbish". The outspoken Oasis frontman previously branded the Kaiser Chiefs a "bad blur" and mocked them for wearing make-up. When Ricky came face-to-face with the wild rocker, he said sorry for the state of his group - rather than get embroiled in a war of words. The 'I Predict A Riot' singer told Britain's Guardian newspaper: "When we met him, I ended up apologising - to Liam Gallagher! I said, 'Sorry we're so rubbish.' "
Ricky claims the band's new album, 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob', the follow-up to the hugely successful 'Employment' is about taking drugs and enjoying the trappings of rock 'n' roll success. He quipped: "Our new album is about being rich and famous and taking lots of drugs, because that's what we do these days. I'm a big shot now."
