No
matter
what
Eddie
Murphy
might
say,
Spice
Girl
Melanie
Brown
insists
that
their
baby
daughter
Angel
Iris
was
planned.
Murphy
and
Mel
B
started
a
relationship
when
they
met
at
a
friend's
house
in
June
last
year.
By
August,
the
singer
was
pregnant,
and
over
the
moon.
However,
the
joy
didn't
last
long,
for
barely
three
months
after
that,
Murphy
dumped
the
singer
live
on
Dutch
TV,
and
refused
to
acknowledge
that
he
was
the
father
of
the
unborn
child,
telling
a
reporter:
"I
don't
know
whose
child
that
is,
until
it
comes
out
and
has
a
blood
test."
Scary
Spice
insisted
that
the
baby
was
his,
and
soon
after
giving
birth
to
Angel
on
April
3
she
insisted
that
the
actor
take
a
DNA
test.
Murphy
reluctantly
agreed
after
Brown
threatened
to
take
him
to
court.
Her
stand
was
vindicated
when
the
test
revealed
that
Murphy
was
indeed
baby
Angel's
dad.
Now,
Scary
Spice
is
revealing
a
few
more
details
of
her
life
with
the
actor,
and
insists
that
their
child
was
planned.
"This
was
a
completely
planned
pregnancy," the
New
York
Daily
News
quoted
her,
as
saying.
She
also
reveals
how
Murphy
completely
ignored
her,
even
when
she
went
into
labour.
"I
called
his
assistant
to
let
her
know
I
was
going
into
labor.
...
And
still
nothing;
not
even
a
hello
to
the
baby,
not
even
a
[diaper]
or
flowers,"
she
says.
"He
was
the
one
who
said
that
he
wanted
the
test,
but
when
it
came
down
to
it,
I
had
to
force
him
to
take
it.
...
[He]
wouldn't
even
show
up
for
a
meeting
about
it.
I
nearly
took
him
to
court."
Now,
Brown
says
it's
time
for
Murphy
to
take
responsibility.
"He
has
to
take
responsibility.
I'm
not
talking
about
money
-
I'm
talking
about
the
fact
that
Angel
has
a
mum
and
a
dad."
