Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker has been reunited with his long-lost
father - who left him when he was just seven. The 'Common People'
singer, now 43, flew out to Australia with his sister Saskia to
meet up with dad Mack. However, Jarvis - who is now a solo artist -
admits the reunion was far from a happy occasion, and left him
He said: "If this happened on a TV show we'd all have been in
floods of tears and declaring how much we loved each other. But
although we are biologically related it was like meeting someone I
didn't know. We didn't have a parent-child relationship."
Over the years Jarvis built up a mental image of what his father
might be like, but his imaginary dad was nothing like the real one.
