London (ANI): Extra bosses have offered Britney Spears a chance to retrieve her career after her hopeless comeback performance at MTV Video Music Awards. The singer"s much-hyped come-back performance of new single 'Gimme More" was severely panned by critics, who branded the act “bored" and “glazed" as she forgot dance moves and lip-synched out of time The American TV show"s execs has given the troubled pop star the chance to relaunch her career.

The TV"s bosses have urged the 'Toxic" star to 'show the world" what she is got. “Extra is opening its doors to Britney Spears for a second chance at a comeback," the Daily Snack quoted the TV execs, as stating in their release. "We"ve made the call to Spears this morning, inviting her to perform at Extra on our stage in Los Angeles or in Las Vegas at the Extra Lounge in Planet Hollywood"s Hotel and Resort." "Britney, come perform 'Gimme More" and show the world what you"ve got."

Kid Rock should not hold hope that he will be counted among Britney Spears" friends especially after taking a dig at her parenting skills on TV. The rocker appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show which aired on Tuesday, Sept 11, and then pretended to not only drop a dummy baby but also feeding it beer. The single father was handed a swaddled doll and asked if he'd babysit Britney's youngest.

According to Contactmusic, Rock poked fun at Britney"s parenting skills by first turning the doll upside down, asking, "Is this how she does it?" He then tried to bottle feed the doll the beer he was carrying, saying that the baby was 'better off" drunk. Now the baby's drunk. It's probably a lot better off that way too," he said.
