Washington (ANI): American rapper Curtis James Jackson better known as 50 Cent has finally been able to come to an agreement with his former girlfriend and given one weekend a month as visitation right with his son. 50 Cent and ex Shaniqua Tompkins, who were fighting over the custody of their 12-year-old son Marquise, avoided eye contact as they went before a judge in a Central Islip, N.Y., courtroom just before noon on October 22.

The hearing lasted for less than five minutes, and the judge granted the rapper one-weekend visit a month with Marquise, who will also spend half of his school's winter and spring breaks. "50 is pleased this has been settled and looks forward to spending some quality time with his son," People magazine quoted the rapper's attorney Brett Kimmel as saying.

Tompkins revealed that even though she is not on good terms with 50 Cent, she would like her son to have a good relationship with him. "We came to an agreement," Tompkins said after the hearing. "Despite my feelings for his father, I want Marquise and his father to have a healthy relationship. That's what that time is for," she added.
