David Archuleta and David Cook
The grand finale of the American Idol 2008 is at hand. And it's David Archuleta v/s David Cook. They sang three songs each on Tuesday's season 7 finals. Both the contestants gave wonderful performance but the big question still remains – who will win American Idol?

Cook started off with the song "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2, which judge Simon Cowell described as phenomenal performance. Archuleta gave the counter attack with the song "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" by Elton John. Cowell commented that round 1 belonged to Archuleta. Cook then followed up with the song "Dream Big" by Emily Shackleton and Archuleta sang the ballad "In This Moment" by Ryan Gillmor.

The final song Cook chose was "The World I Know" by Collective Soul, which the judges termed as a wrong choice. Then Archuleta stole the hearts of the audience as well as the judges with the song "Imagine" by John Lennon.

Cowell declared that it is one of the best finals but made his mind clear by revealing that the contest would be a knockout. So, who won American Idol 2008? The audience will decide the American Idol winner 2008 tonight. Watch out!
