Boy George convicted of imprisoning a male escort

London (ANI): Singer Boy George a.k.a George O'Dowd has been found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort at his flat in east London. The British singer was accused of handcuffing Norwegian Audun Carlsen, 29, in his bedroom wall and thrashing him with a metal chain, reports The Sun.

The 46-year-old songwriter had contacted Carlsen on the Gaydar website for a nude photo shoot at his flat to which the latter had agreed. A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court found the ex Culture Club star tried guilty of the charges. The male escort also told the court that Boy George had oral sex with him even after knowing that he was HIV positive.

He said O'Dowd performed unprotected oral sex on him for five seconds at the first meeting as he (Carlsen) sat naked in a chair, but O'Dowd told police he was annoyed about that claim. The court had previously said that the male escort is 'unreliable'.

However, the singer has now been convicted of the charges imposed upon him.
