Britney to appear again on Good Morning America

New York (ANI): Popstar Britney Spears has been invited once again to 'Good Morning America' for a formal interview, following her recent lip-synced performance on the show. "Britney has a standing invitation to come back to ABC for an extended interview with Diane [Sawyer]," the New York Daily News quoted a spokeswoman for the show, as saying.

However, ABC was Spears' second choice to launch her album 'Circus'. The singer had been in negotiations with NBC's 'Today' show but, according to an insider, the network passed after hearing all of Britney's 'ridiculous' demands. "Britney's people didn't want her interviewed. They also said there could be no close-up shots during the performance. Plus, Britney wanted to lip-sync. As a news program, you just don't agree to that," a source said.

ABC had no problem with the pop tart's requests, and while 'Today' aired an interview with Brad Pitt, 'GMA' ran the Britney performance, which one TV exec called "shoddy. She was clearly lip-syncing. It was obviously why they couldn't zoom in on her."
