Britney wants normal childhood for her kids

London (ANI): Pop princess Britney Spears has expressed her desire to steer her sons away from limelight so that they can have the 'normal childhood' she never had. Spears had started her career in showbiz when she was only 10, first appearing on talent show Star Search and then landing a role in the Mickey Mouse Club.

For the Toxic singer, being pushed into the limelight at an early age is what brought about her recent troubles, including the breakdown that lost her custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and one-year-old Jayden James. Even though she has made a name for herself in the industry, she is determined that her sons will not be pushed into showbiz and will support them only if they have made the choice themselves.

"If they want to do it, and they are talented enough, I would support them. But they''d have to express an interest on their own," the Sun quoted her as telling OK! Magazine. "I''d rather they didn''t (pursue it) but I''d love them unconditionally if they wanted to. I''d just as soon they have a more normal childhood," she said.

Meanwhile, Spears revealed that she is working tirelessly on her pop comeback, and she's convinced her new songs will prove to be her best. "I think it is more urban. I'm writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room. This is my best work ever," she said.
