While the legendary singer was hopeful for a truce with Guy defying any need of paperwork, it now seems that her relationship with the filmmaker hit such a low that she opted for a proper consultation. "Madonna always seeks out the best in whatever field she is interested in at any given time. Fiona Shackleton is the best," The Mirror quoted a friend of the singer, as saying.
Meanwhile Shackleton, has earned herself a fearsome reputation in her handling of two of the highest-profile divorces - Charles and Diana followed by Macca v Mills. "Apparently Madonna was impressed by Fiona's work for Sir Paul and the way she handles herself in the public eye. She is a consummate professional," said one of Shackleton's friends. While Shackleton's assistant refused to comment on the issue, a spokesman for Madonna said: "We are unable to comment on this."
