Madonna to pay $76 mn in divorce settlement

Finally Pop singer Madonna has confirmed to pay 50 million pounds ($76 million) to her ex-husband Guy Ritchie as part of their divorce agreement. According to Associated Press, the RocknRolla director will get their country home, Ashcombe House in western England and the west London pub, the Punchbowl.

The director and the singer had property worth of $525 million. Ritchie had only $35 million fortune and rest of the property belonged to Madge. According to singer's ref Rosenberg, this is one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement, which is about two times bigger than former Beatles Paul McCartney and model Heather Mills. Presently property settlement has been done. The custody of their son Rocco, 8, and adopted son David Banda, 3, is yet to be sorted out.

The couple, who married in December 2000 at Skibo Castle in the Scottish Highlands, announced their split in October 2008. They were granted a preliminary divorce decree on Nov. 21. Madonna, who was recently spotted romancing New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, is busy with 'Sticky and Sweet world tour'.
