Jessica's Major Movie Star a hit in Russia

Washington (ANI): Though American singer Jessica Simpson's movie Major Movie Star never opened in the United States, it has become a hit in Russia. The movie, which is a Private Benjamin like film, debuted as a top box office hit in Russia on October 9, Fox News reported.

Major Movie Star, which has been described by one of its participants as "maybe one of the worst films ever made", will be premiering in Bulgaria in November. But so far no U.S. release date has been set for the movie, which has no fewer than 15 producers listed on the credits and which also includes Simpson's dad, Joe. The director was Steve Miner, whose credits are mostly from television.
