Pink Floyd awarded Swedish Polar Music Prize

According to the prize committee, Pink Floyd, founded in 1960s, had made a 'monumental contribution' to the development of popular culture. "They captured the mood and spirit of a whole generation," the committee added.
Recently, it emerged that the British band are all set to reunite for a charity gig. Drummer Nick Mason confirmed the band's reunion and said that they just had to find the right cause to support. Pink Floyd fell out in the Eighties over who owned the band"s name.
