London, (ANI): Remaining Beatles Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr came together for the world's first public viewing of a karaoke-style game based on the group's music. The icons, along with late John Lennon's partner Yoko Ono and George Harrison's widow, Olivia, shared the stage during MTV and Harmonix's unfolding of the Beatles Rock Band.

The game, which allows players to use adapted game controllers, lead guitar, base guitar and drums, to play along to several songs, will hit the markets on September 9. "The game is good, the graphics are very good, and we were great," the BBC quoted Ringo as saying. Beatles Rock Band is set to feature 45 tracks, along with a bonus track All You Need is Love that can be purchased online via Xbox Live.

It can take users to various locations that have hosted the bands' performances, including the Cavern Club in Liverpool and New York's Shea Stadium. The game's musical instruments are based on the ones the band used in the 1960s and 3D models of the legends playing their instruments, in a variety of costumes can also be seen within the game. McCartney said: "Whoever thought we would end up as androids?" The game marks the first time any Beatles music has been licensed to a third party.
