Jennifer Hudson recalls memories of her mother

Washington, (ANI): Jennifer Hudson revisited memories of her mother, who along with the singer's brother and seven-year-old nephew were found murdered in their Chicago home last year. The Dreamgirls actress revealed she shared a close bond with mum Darnell Donerson and had been a mama's girl.

"I was always a mama's baby. I'd go and sleep in her bed until I was 15 years old," People magazine quoted Jennifer as telling Essence in the magazine's June issue. The Oscar-winner's fiance David Otunga said amongst their cause of worries were the questions Hudson would have to face about the tragedy when she jumped back into work.

He said: "We don't talk about it. In this time when things seem so uncertain for her, there is certainty in our bond. She doesn't have to worry about losing me. I'm always going to be right here."

Jennifer further revealed her faith helped her to deal with the horrors of her slain family. She said: "The thing that keeps me going is knowing that God is in control. It's like, if He placed me here then I must be prepared."
