not
about
his
former
lover
Jennifer
Aniston.
It
was
rumored
that
the
song
in
question
was
about
Jennifer,
after
Mayer
released
his
new
tune
at
the
Heartbreak
Warfare
in
U.S.
concert
just
a
month
after
ending
his
romance
with
the
'Bruce
Almighty" actress.
The
lyrics
of
the
song
are:

warfare...
Drop
his

it

the

again/Watch
my

I
pretend
to

pain." However,
John
Mayer
has
rebuffed
claims
that
the
song
is
about
Jennifer.
“The
songs
are
subjective.
The
listeners
are
free
to
interpret
and
apply
them
to
their
own
lives,"
the
Daily
star
quoted
his
spokesman
as
saying.
