MJ’s dad seeks allowance from son's estate

London (ANI): Michael Jackson"s father Joe is seeking an unspecified amount from his son's estate to help cover his monthly expenses. According to Michael"s will, money is only to be paid to his mother, Katherine, his three young children, and several charities. A lawyer for 81-year-old Joe, who was said to be a diabetes patient and suffered a stroke in 1998, has filed papers in court.

The Jackson family patriarch gets a 1,700-dollar monthly Social Security payment and had depended on his late son for support for many years, according to the court documents. "He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support," the Telegraph quoted the filing as saying.

An itemised list of expenses read Joe splashes 1,200-dollars a month on rent for his home in Las Vegas; 2,500-dollars on dining out; 1,000-dollars on entertainment, gifts and vacations; 2,000-dollars on air travel and 3,000-dollars on hotels.
