London
(ANI):
Soul
singer
Natalie
Cole
is
set
to
pay
tribute
to
her
late
father
Nat
King
Cole
with
a
new
version
of
some
of
his
popular
songs
in
her
new
album.
The
58-year-old
star
has
recorded
a
reworked
version
of
her
dad's
song
''Straighten
Up''
and
''Fly
Right''
along
with
producer
will.i.am
for
a
new
album
celebrating
the
life
and
legacy
of
the
jazz
icon.
And
Cole's
sure
that
her
beloved
father
and
legendary
singer
would
approve
of
the
recordings.
"I
just
love,
love,
love
the
mix
that
will.i.am
put
on
''Straighten
Up
and
Fly
Right.''
It's
so
very
cool
and
Dad
would
get
quite
the
kick
from
this," the
Daily
Express
quoted
her
as
saying.
"What
a
great
feeling
it
was
to
have
worked
with
both
Will
and
Dad
at
the
same
time!
It
doesn't
get
much
better
and
this
entire
album
is
so
amazing,"
she
added.
Nat
King
Cole
died
in
1965,
at
the
age
of
45,
after
a
battle
with
lung
cancer.
