Carrie Underwood, Mike Fisher engaged

New York (ANI): Country singer Carrie Underwood has got engaged to Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, it has emerged. Rumors sparked when Underwood"s family friend congratulated the couple on Fisher"s Twitter page.

"We're both obviously excited and very happy," the New York Post quoted Fisher as telling the Toronto Sun. The two have been dating for about a year now.

Meanwhile, Fisher has signed a 21-million-dollar contract with the Senators for a five-year term.
