have
been
offered
the
chance
to
create
the
first
ever
video
for
her
song
You're
So
Vain
in
a
talent
competition.
The
renowned
songwriter
has
never
publicly
revealed
the
inspiration
behind
her
1972
track.
"People
were
so
busy
asking
me
who
the
song
was
about
that
nobody
thought
to
make
a
video
of
it," The
BBC
quoted
her
as
saying.
The
star
will
judge
the
submissions
herself
and
the
winning
entry
will
be
screened
at
New
York's
Tribeca
Film
Festival
in
April.
Simon
will
also
let
the
winner
have
a
prize
from
her
"personal
archives."
