George
Michael
recently
got
involved
in
a
nasty
car
accident,
when
he
was
driving
under
the
influence
of
narcotics
and
crashed
into
a
photo-shop.
The
singer
was
strongly
reprimanded
at
the
court
hearing
and
his
Driving
license
was
suspended.
As
an
immediate
aftermath
to
the
crash,
George
checked
into
a
rehab
center
to
cure
his
addiction.
On
August
30
George
sent
an
open
letter
to
his
fans,
where
he
said
that
he
understands
the
seriousness
of
his
condition
and
truly
apologizes
for
what
he
has
done.
He
further
said
that
he
has
checked
into
the
14-day
drug
detox
program
right
after
the
crash
and
plans
to
get
sober
soon.
The
British
Hitmaker
is
attending
the
14-day
detox
program
and
this
will
be
followed
by
an
outpatient
drug-counseling.
The
singer
further
said
that
his
recent
run-ins
with
the
law
was
due
to
his
personal
problems
getting
the
better
of
him
and
he
will
no
longer
let
his
pride
prevent
him
from
seeking
help.
Last
week
the
singer
pleaded
guilty
for
driving
under
influence
and
for
possessing
cannabis.
George
Michael
is
due
back
in
court
on
Sept
24
when
he
will
be
sentenced
for
the
offense.
Sources
suggest
that
the
singer
might
be
facing
some
serious
jail
time
thanks
to
his
substance
abuse
problem.
We
just
hope
George
gets
sober
and
concentrates
on
his
work.
