By Sampurn Wire
An
iconic
photo
of
ex-Beatles
man
John
Lennon
and
his
wife
would
be
up
for
grabs
very
soon.
This
is
a
photo
that
was
taken
by
Annie
Leibovitz.
The
historic
value
of
the
photo
increases
by
several
folds
since
the
picture
was
taken
right
before
John
Lennon
was
killed.
The
picture
is
going
to
go
under
the
hammer
in
the
Big
Apple.
The
photo
was
clicked
in
the
month
of
December
in
the
year
1980
for
the
celebrated
music
and
lifestyle
magazine,
the
Rolling
Stone.
The
picture
shows
Ono
and
her
husband
embracing
in
a
warmly
while
in
a
reclining
position.
It
is
not
the
photo
that
graced
the
cover
of
the
magazine.
The
one
that
was
on
the
cover
showcased
a
nude
Lennon
and
a
clothed
Yoko
Ono
posing
together.
It's
just
one
of
the
40
copies
and
the
auctioneers
expect
a
sum
of
$10,000
to
$15,000
for
it.
The
auction
would
be
held
at
the
fantastic
Swann
Auction
Galleries
on
the
19th
of
October.
The
photo
is
being
put
on
to
auction
by
a
private
collector;
keep
in
mind
that
it"s
not
a
part
of
Leibovitz's
extremely
publicized
agreement
over
her
debts
as
well
as
her
rights
to
her
own
work.
