Danish
soft
rock
band
'Michael
Learns
to
Rock'
is
visiting
India
from
June
16-21
in
order
to
promote
their
latest
CD
release
'Eternity".
It
will
visit
Bangalore,
Delhi
and
Mumbai
as
a
part
of
their
three
city
tour.
After
Backstreet
Boys
and
Richard
Marx,
it
is
the
turn
of
this
Danish
band
to
enthrall
the
Indian
music
lovers.
Jascha
Richter,
Mikkel
Lentz
and
Kare
Wanscher,
all
the
band
members
are
touring
the
country,
which
will
perform
at
Bangalore
on
June
20
at
the
Palace
Grounds.
The
Danish
band
is
also
known
as
'MLTR',
started
with
4
original
members.
It
was
formed
in
May
1988
in
Aarhus
and
won
at
the
city"s
annual
talent
show.
After
this
win,
the
band
was
named
after
the
late
'King
of
Pop'
Michael
Jackson
and
started
performing
concerts.
It
has
hits
like,
'The
Actor",
'Sleeping
Child",
'Breaking
My
Heart",
'Nothing
to
Lose" and
'You
Took
My
Heart
Away".
More
than
10
million
records
of
the
band
have
been
sold
all
over
the
world.
The
'MLTR" band
is
very
popular
among
the
women
for
its
romantic
compositions.
In
September
1991,
the
band
released
its
self
titled
debut,
which
became
successful
with
the
single
'The
Actor"
doing
extremely
well
in
many
countries
of
Asia
and
Europe.
Their
second
album
titled
'Colors"
appeared
in
1993,
which
successfully
sold
more
than
1
million
records.
The
singles
'25
Minutes"
and
'Out
of
the
Blue"
from
the
second
album
became
big
hits
too.
Later
in
1995,
the
band
came
up
with
their
third
album
called
'Played
on
Pepper",
which
received
more
applause
than
the
earlier
ones
and
more
than
1.2
million
records
were
sold
worldwide.
It
will
perform
a
sing-back
show
here
on
June
17
at
the
F-Bar.
