Former
Oasis
member
Noel
Gallagher
is
set
to
launch
his
solo
career
with
a
performance
at
a
charity
concert
in
March.
The
guitarist
will
take
the
stage
at
the
annual
Teenage
Cancer
Trust
concerts,
set
up
by
The
Who
frontman
Roger
Daltrey.
He
had
performed
at
the
event
in
2007.
"Ten
years
ago
I
got
a
call
from
Roger
asking
to
join
him
for
the
first
ever
concert
for
the
charity," the
Daily
Star
quoted
him
as
saying.
He
added:
“Since
then,
I've
been
honoured
to
support
this
amazing
charity.
I've
had
some
of
the
best
nights
I've
ever
had
on
a
U.K.
stage."
Also,
the
Arctic
Monkeys,
The
Specials
and
Them
Crooked
Vultures
will
perform
at
the
event.
Daltrey
said:
"I'm
over
the
moon.
It
will
be
Noel's
only
gigs
this
year,
so
those
nights
will
be
special."
Noel
had
split
from
Oasis
last
year
after
a
row
with
brother
Liam.
