Pete Doherty’s ex girlfriend dies of drug overdose

London (ANI): Singer Pete Doherty"s ex-girlfriend may have died from a suspected drug overdose, it has emerged. The body of heiress Robin Whitehead, who previously dated the Babyshambles singer with 22 drug convictions, was found slumped at a block in Homerton, London.

"A friend was unable to rouse her - they thought she was asleep," the Sun quoted coroner's officer Sandy Fry as saying. Her death was not being treated as suspicious by authorities, the paper said. Sources claimed the 27-year-old photographer and DVD maker was hooked on to heroin.

A friend said: "Robin had problems with heroin over the years but Pete and his circle sucked her in even further. There is an attitude among that crowd that heroin is somehow cool. The only thing cool about it is the morgue you end up in."
