Sid Wilson to launch solo album

DJ Sid Wilson is getting ready to launch his solo album. He has also decided to put away the aliases -- #0, Ratboy, DJ Moonboots, and DJ Starscream.

He says that apparently he is called DJ Starscream or #0 by people and at concerts or at DJ shows or wherever he is. Wilson is at present busy fronting his own band. He has also recorded a self titled solo music album. The 'Slipknot" turntable maniac also hopes to release the new album by this fall even though a record label deal is still being negotiated.

He describes the music on his album as an eccentric and assorted mixture of all the diverse styles of music that he grew up listening to. In other words, fans would get to hear bits and pieces of what shaped his musical knowledge.

He also said that there"s a big influence of B - Boy in his music as he is a DJ and he used to listen to a lot of 'Skinny Puppy" as well as more mainstream things 'Nine Inch Nails". He accepts that he was influenced by 'Beastie Boys" and 'Run – DMC". He loved the way the aforementioned bands / artists mixed hip hop with rock styling.
