Andrew Lloyd Webber returns home after cancer treatment

London (ANI): Legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that he has been treated for prostate cancer successfully. The theatre impresario said he is now 'fighting fit' after the operation to remove his prostate gland and treatment for an E coli infection.

The 61-year-old composer of The Phantom of the Opera, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar would still require regular check-ups, he told the Mail on Sunday. "I will need regular follow-up checks over the years, but we have arrived - at the end of a long journey - at the best possible outcome," the Mirror quoted him as saying.

He is currently preparing for the London premiere in March of Love Never Dies, his sequel to The Phantom of the Opera.
