Amy
Winehouse's
dad
Mitch,
who
announced
plans
to
set
up
Amy
Winehouse
Foundation
at
his
daughter's
funeral,
is
all
set
to
make
the
plan
a
reality.
He
is
scheduled
to
meet
British
government
officials
today
to
discuss
on
the
charitable
foundation
in
memory
of
the
singer.
He
is
going
to
meet
Keith
Vaz,
Member
of
Parliament,
and
James
Brokenshire,
Minister
for
Crime
and
Security,
to
present
his
plans
and
seek
funding
assistance.
Mitch
said
that
the
foundation
will
support
people
with
drug
addiction
problems.
He
added
that
it
will
benefit
the
children
and
horses,
as
his
daughter
used
to
love
them
so
much.
Addiction
expert
Sarah
Graham,
an
advisor
for
the
foundation,
said
that
they
are
working
on
the
formalities
to
start
the
foundation.
“It's
all
very
well
building
a
rehabilitation
centre,
but
we
need
reassurances
that
we
can
work
with
Government
and
other
agencies
to
make
sure
people
get
referred
there,
and
that
beds
will
be
paid
for.
There
is
no
point
in
having
great
facilities
and
great
staff
if
no
one
refers
addicts
there.
Under
the
current
system
it
is
fantastically
difficult
to
get
funding
for
rehabilitation,
with
key
workers
having
to
get
funding
from
at
least
three
different
sources.
We
need
the
funding
to
be
made
much
more
straightforward,"
The
Times
quoted
Sarah
as
saying.
