Katy Perry falls out with her religious mom

The usually calm and loving Hudson family is in tension of late. Singer Katy Perry"s dad Keith Hudson has revealed that the family is in tension after his wife Mary Hudson wrote about her daughter"s 'unchristian ways" in her new memoir.

Katy Perry"s parents are devout Christian evangelists. All hell broke loose after her mother wrote about her disapproval of her daughter's risque lyrics and sexy costumes in her memoir. “Katy stepped out from behind the changing doors in a tiny risque costume. No mother wants to see the top of her daughter's boobs..." wrote Hudson, recalling an incident backstage during a concert.

She feels that her daughter is not behaving like a Christian. “I recognised the psalmist gift in her performance. Yet she sang out, 'I kissed a girl, and I liked it,' while thousands joined her. One part of my heart soared... the other part broke for the thousands of hungry souls being fed something that didn't nourish their spirit, but fed their flesh," she added.

Hudson claimed that the memoir is a Christian faith book and not a biography of her daughter, but sources said that the damage is already done, as the mother and daughter have fallen out.
