Katy Perry surprises Aussie fans by singing 'Friday'

Singer Katy Perry, who has continued her California Dreams world tour in Australia, has surprised her fans in Austrailia by singing the song 'Friday...', which has got negative critical response and ill-fame to teen pop singer Rebecca Black. The American star performed an acoustic version of viral hit 'Friday...' during one of her concerts in the country.

Before the rendition of the song, Katy Perry said that Friday has been very auspicious day in her life. She said, "So I can't play the flute, but it doesn't really matter, you know why? 'Cause all magical things happen on a Friday." After the song, she gushed, "I'm so glad that someone wrote a song about Friday."

However, in October 2010, Katy Perry officially announced her California Dreams world tour, which happens to be the second concert tour by the singer. She recently started her gigs to support her third studio album 'Teenage Dream' in Australia. She still has concerts in Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, Wellington and Newcastle.
