Singer Lady Gaga, who is known for her crazy and scary costumes and outfits, has now released a new shocking photo of hers to promote her new album 'Born This Way', which is scheduled to release on May 23. American pop star seems to taking her shock factor a bit far by altering her appearance on the promos.

Recently, Lady Gaga has posted her shocking image on her Twitter account and it is her first official posting regarding highly anticipated new record. In the photo, she is sporting prosthetic cheek bones and painted eyebrows, which make her appear gaunt and emaciated.

However, Born This Way will come as her second major studio album by Interscope Records. Lead single 'Born This Way' debuted on February 11, while its second single 'Judas' will debut in the weeks before the album's release. Lady gaga is happy with the success of Born This Way. She tweeted, "Ah! Such exciting news! BORN THIS WAY IS #1 FOR THE 5TH WEEK IN A ROW ON BILLBOARD. This is our biggest hit ever monsters! You are amazing!"
