Melanie Brown pregnant with Stephen Belafonte's first baby

After Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown is the latest Spice Girl star to announce her pregnancy. Yes! The singer is expecting her first child with husband Stephen Belafonte this summer. Her announcement is coming just a week after she expressed her wish to become pregnant by the end of 2011.

The couple began trying for a baby around Christmas and fell pregnant soon afterward. “We"re really excited. We wouldn"t have planned and waited for four years to have a baby if we weren"t really excited about it and ready for it. Even though you can never really be truly ready," Mel B told Hello! magazine.

Melanie Brown and Stephen Belafonte have not yet decided whether to find out the sex of the baby. "I haven"t fully decided if I want to know or not. I"m over the first trimester, so I"m past the shady three months and on to safe territory. The first three months, I was pretty sick and tired, to be honest, which I"ve never been before,"Mel B added.

However, Melanie Brown started dating movie producer Stephen Belafonte in February and got married to him on 6th June 2007. The star couple have already been raising three daughters, Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris from Mel's previous relationships and Stephen's daughter Giselle. This will be their first baby.
