Steven Tyler's new solo rejected by Aerosmith bandmates

By Raymond Ronamai

Believe it or not, rocker Steven Tyler's new solo “(It) Feels So Good" was rejected by his Aerosmith bandmates, so he released it on his own yesterday (May 9). He thought of using the track for one of the band's albums but his bandmates were of the opinion that it didn't suit their taste.

“I wrote the song at the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles a few years ago," Tyler tells Rolling Stone. "I swear it's going to be a hit. I can hear it coming out of people's cars this summer. I'm a fool for melody, man. I've got to have melody. I miss it, and there it is."

He revealed that he thought if using the song for the band's album but kept it for himself since they didn't like it. “They didn't like it, so I just kept it for the last couple of years," he said.
