“The plane took off fairly normally, though we knew there was bad weather ahead, but mid-way during the flight the turbulence was really quite frightening. Then suddenly, there was a bright flash, and the plane had obviously been struck by lightning. The pilot had to make an announcement and reassure the passengers that everything was all right," Daily Mirror quoted a source as saying.
Gary Barlow must have had terrible experience on board the plane truck by a lightning. He had earlier said that he didn't like planes.

The plane carrying the British band comprising of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams, Jason Orange and Howard Donald, was hit by lighting last night (July 12) on their way to Milan for their Progress Live tour. It is said that a quick-thinking pilot saved the plane from crushing.
