The black-and-white photo will go up for auction at Bonham's in New York City on May 8 and it is expected to bring in over $10,000.

The nude picture of Madonna has been shot by fashion photographer Steven Meisel. The photo features the singer sporting bleach-blonde hair and dark eye make-up. In this black and white image, Madge is staring seductively into the camera as she places a lit cigarette into her mouth. According to reports, this photo was actually taken for her controversial 1992 book Sex.

"This is an absolutely stunning image and it is just a beautiful tone of grey. It is not just black and white it is grey and silvery. Madonna was posing for a number of photographers at the time this was taken in the 1990s when she was in her early 30s." Daily Mail quotes Judith Eurich as telling about the picture.
