Elton John announces The Diving Board release date

Los Angeles: It is well-known that Elton John is coming back with his next album titled 'The Diving Board' (TDB). The singer, who is busy promoting this album, released its trailer on Monday and announced the release date of the this most-awaited album, which is expected to arrive in September. It is available for pre-order.

'The Diving Board' is Elton John's 30th solo album and the second of his studio releases since 1979's. 'The Union' fame T-Bone Burnett is producer of the album, which has been written by John and Bernie Taupin. Burnett suggested John to return to the piano, bass and drums format of his very early years and the result, John says, "It is the most exciting solo record I've done in a long, long time." The latest trailer of 'The Diving Board' is a moody clip that shows footage of Elton John singing, playing the piano and speaking about the project. The video also offers a hint at its lead single 'Home Again'. The singer explains, "I feel like I'm starting again making records." He questions, "What kind of music do I really want to make?", before asserting, "I am on the diving board."

'The Diving Board' features 12 new songs from Elton John. Talking about the album, the singer says, "I realized that I had to go back to go forward again. I needed to strip away the excesses and get back to the core of what I do as an artist. That's what 'The Diving Board' represents. I'm incredibly excited about every aspect of this album."
