Rita Ora says she is the new face of Madonna's teenage fashion line Material Girl, and is excited to work with the pop icon and her daughter Lourdes. Ora shared the news on Instagram, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The 22-year-old, who is also the face of Italian shoe brand Superga, was recently rumoured to have signed a 500,000 pound deal with Material Girl last month. "Joining forces with Madonna and Lola (Lourdes). It's Official. Excited," femalefirst.co.uk quotes Rita Ora as saying.
According to reports, Lourdes who is a big fan of Ora persuaded Madonna to meet her. "Lourdes has been a fan of Rita for a while and has been to many of her gigs. She persuaded her mum to see her. They met at the Met Ball in New York last week and Madonna admired Rita's attitude so signed the idea off," the source had said.
Ora will replace model Georgia May Jagger, who is the daughter of Rolling Stones star Sir Mick Jagger and veteran model Jerry Hall, as the face of the brand. Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen has also starred in ad campaigns for Material Girl in the past.
