The
makers
of
the
highly
anticipated
film
"Indian
2" have
announced
a
special
surprise
to
celebrate
the
occasion.
"Indian
2"
is
an
eagerly
awaited
Tamil-language
vigilante
action
film.
It's
a
sequel
to
the
1996
blockbuster
"Indian"
and
was
directed
by
the
renowned
S.
Shankar.
The
film
is
being
produced
by
Subaskaran
Allirajah
and
Udhayanidhi
Stalin
under
the
banners
of
Lyca
Productions
and
Red
Giant
Movies.
In
this
sequel,
Kamal
Haasan
reprises
his
iconic
role
as
Senapathy/Indian,
an
elderly
freedom
fighter
turned
vigilante
who
wages
a
relentless
battle
against
corruption
and
crime.

announced
that
the
'Indian
2'
Intro
will
be
released
by
Superstar
Rajinikanth,
Mohanlal,
Aamir
Khan,
S
S
Rajamouli,
and
Kiccha
Sudeep
today
at
5:30
PM.
Kamal
Haasan
fans,
stay
tuned
for
a
thrilling
cinematic
experience!
Shankar
initially
planned
a
sequel
to
"Indian"
in
May
2015.
The
film's
official
announcement
came
in
late
September
2017
with
Dil
Raju
as
the
producer,
but
the
rights
were
subsequently
transferred
to
Lyca
Productions
due
to
the
high
production
budget.
Principal
photography
commenced
in
January
2019,
spanning
locations
in
Chennai,
Rajahmundry,
Bhopal,
and
Gwalior.
Unfortunately,
shooting
was
temporarily
halted
in
February
2020
following
an
accident
on
set
that
resulted
in
the
tragic
loss
of
crew
members.
The
production
faced
extended
suspensions
due
to
various
challenges,
including
the
COVID-19
pandemic,
budgetary
issues,
and
legal
disputes.
It
finally
resumed
in
August
2022,
with
Red
Giant
Movies
coming
on
board
as
a
co-producer.
Additional
filming
took
place
in
Tirupati,
Chennai,
as
well
as
select
sequences
being
shot
in
Johannesburg
and
Taiwan.
