Baahubali Story

Baahubali (aka) Bahubali is a two-part Indian fantasy epic movie made in Telugu and Tamil languages direction by S S Rajamouli. Baahubali features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah in the lead roles. The film will be simultaneously dubbed into English, Hindi, Malayalam and in several foreign languages. 

The film features an ensemble cast of Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep in crucial roles. The film is being produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works banner and with Studio Green.

Story In Detail
The story is set during the period 540 BC. King of Mahishmati, Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas) and his wife Devasena Anushka) ruled the kingdom, where people were living at peace and prosperity, until the cruel minister (Nasser) pair up with an evil king, Bhallaladeva and capture the kingdom by killing the king in a great war. Shivudu (Prabhas) being orphaned due to circumstances grows up in a poor Forest Village near Mahishamti Rajyam. 

Shivudu tries to reach his own fantasy world I-le falls, which is on the hill top. Avanthika (Tamannah) arresting looks gives him the magical power to finish off that task effortlessly, also she is in part of a Rebel army hiding and waiting for their Revenge on Mahishmati. What is the connection of Shivudu with Mahishamti forms the main plot. 

Since the kingdom now belongs to Bhallaladeva. Baahubali’s son Shivudu who is secretly raised by his mother comes back to the rescue of the kingdom. Did Shivudu rescue the Kingdom? Did he get to marry Avantika? is the rest crux of the story.

Production

The soundtrack for the film is composed by M. M. Keeravani. National Award winner Sabu Cyril has been recruited as art director for the film. National Award winner V. Srinivas Mohan is working as the VFX supervisor.

The project is touted to be the most expensive film being produced ever in the history of Indian cinema and was also one of the few films featured in BBC's documentary on 100 Years of Indian cinema directed by Sanjeev Bhaskar. The film was shot using Arri Alexa XT camera marking Rajamouli's first film using digital camera and the principal photography began at Rock Gardens in Kurnool on 6 July 2013.

Release

A theatrical trailer of Baahubali will be unveiled on May 31, 2015 and the first part of film is scheduled to be released on 10 July, 2015.
