Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu has been roped in to play the role of a baddie in the movie. It may be recalled that he was earlier seen in the antagonist's character in the Rajinikanth-starrer "Lingaa". Daniel Balaji will be also playing a character with negative shades in the film.
Story Line
Bairavaa movie story revolves around a young man (Vijay) who takes up his girlfriend Keerthi Suresh's fight for justice against an unscrupulous, corrupt man who had created a multi million dollar business by misleading aspiring medical students and their parents.
Jagapathi Babu plays as ‘Jayantha’ who is corrupt politician and lock horns with Vijay at some point of the time in the film. Bhairava(Vijay) tries to expose business man's corruption to public. Film tries to explain how institutions fleece students and how that has affected the entire system.
Nagi Reddy’s Vijaya Productions who produced Ajith’s Veeram has produced this movie. Bharathan was the one who wrote the dialogues for Vijay’s blockbuster film Ghilli. The music is scored by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by M. Sukumar, edited by Praveen K. L. , stunt co-originated by Anal Arasu and art directed by M. Prabhaharan.
Santhosh Narayanan has done music for this movie. Earlier Yuvan Shankar Raja was signed for composing music for this movie, later he was replaced with Santhosh Narayanan.
Overseas & Releases
The overseas distribution right of Bairavaa has been snapped up by popular yesteryear hero Arunpandian for ₹22 crore (US$3.3 million). The movie Bairavaa cleared censor with 'U' certificate on Jan 3, 2017. And movie scheduled to release on Jan 12 on the eve of Pongal.
