Jilla is an tamil action movie direction by R T Nesan. The Movie starring with Vijay, Mohan Lal, Mahath, Kajal Agarwal and Soori. The movie is produced by R B Choudry.

Director R. T. Nesan, a former assistant director of M. Raja, described Jilla as a Madurai-based movie. Kajal Aggarwal and Poornima Bhagyaraj were also slated to perform in the film. Gautam Kurup was signed up as the second antagonist.
Story
Mohan Lal (Shivan) plays a don role, who has the whole control of Maudurai Jilla, he adobe his servant's child Shakthi (Vijay), they both has full control on their Jilla, Sakthi hates police since his father was killed by police, then he fell in love with Shanthi (Kajal), but he doesn't know that she is a sub-inspector.
Shivan decides to make Shakthi as police and Shakthi become police, but Shakthi hates this and at one time Shakthi acts opposite to Shivan and he comes to that Shanthi is a police, what's next is a rest of the story watch in theaters.

Box Office Reports
Jilla movie was screened on jan 10th in 1200 screens worldwide and in first day it collected 11 crores and reports says that,this is the first movie for Vijay to collect 11 crores in first day.
Since this movie has Mohan Lal, the movie created the record in kerala, Jilla is the first direct movie to cross 2 crores and this movie collects 2.64 crores in first day. Veeram Box-office reports
Filming
The opening ceremony for the film was held on March 11, 2013 at R. B. Choudary's Chennai office. The first schedule of film shooting took off on May 13 in Madurai and Karaikudi with Mohanlal and Poornima Bhagyaraj. Vijay was reported to join by the end of the month, but this didn't materialise. For the next schedule the film crew shifted to a Chennai-based studio where large sets resembling the city of Madurai were build up for the film.
The Movie is sheduled to release on january 10th 2014 competing with Veeram
