Nalan has not tampered with the core plot of the film, which makes sure the soul of the original flick stays intact throughout. Smart changes however, has been made to suit Tamil audiences.

One of the main reasons why this film works is because of its central characters. While Vijay Sethupathi turns even an ordinary scene into a laugh riot, Madonna makes an impressive debut. Surprisingly, Santhosh Narayanan's background score isn't as exciting as some of his previous works.

Overall View: No, Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is not as impressive as Nalan's first outing. Having said that, it makes for a decent watch, thanks to its sparkling lead pair.

If we say Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum is a love story of an uneducated rowdy and a well educated IT aspirant, you'd stare at us as and ask, "Really, Guy Ritchie!" We wouldn't blame you. It does sound like the Pannaiyar Ponnu, Koil Vaasal Pichaikaaran love story.

Vijay Sethupathi is at his best in Nalan's hands. Although, his character isn't something that we haven't seen him play, there's dimensions that are fresh and entertaining. Madonna Sebastian is a charm to watch. Her first establishment shot garners whistles.

Verdict: A film that makes you smile, sad, laugh out loud and feel pain, but never bored.

Madonna Sebastian is basically an IT Girl who leaves her Town after getting a Job in an IT Company. On one bad day, the company gets closed down and she goes unemployed. Her Ego stops her from going back to her HomeTown. So she chose to stay in an apartment in a Low-Class Area where she meets Vijay Sethupathi.

Vijay Sethupathi’s Onscreen presence is really Good in the Movie. This Movie is neither a Comedy Film nor a Romantic Film.

Final Verdict: Vijay Sethupathi gives another Great Flick

Kudos to Nalan for opting for a film as realistic and subtle like this as his second outing after a high octane entertainer like 'Soodhu Kavvum'.

'Ka Ka Po' is definitely low in "entertainment value" and this will be a problem only if your definition of entertainment is something that will make you cheer or clap. It is a film that takes its own time to establish the characters and subtly conveys the emotions of the character.
