Mr. Chandramouli Story

Mr. Chandramouli is a Tamil action drama movie direction by Thiru. The movie has Karthik, Gautham Karthik and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles. Story In Detail Mr Chandramouli is about the title character and his son Raghav, who is a boxer. They lead a very pleasant life and they are more or less like close friends. Certain events happen, which lead them to a direct confrontation with two businessmen who are involved in some illegal activities.

Mr. Chandramouli Critics Review

Karthik has done complete justice as the title character and it was refreshing to watch him on screem. Gautham Karthik has done complete justice to the character and it is a role with all the elements for a commercial hero. Regina Cassandra gets to play the role of Madhu and it has nothing new to offer for her. Thiru, the director has followed a somewhat similar pattern like his previous film Naan Sigappu Manithan but again, it is a fact that the film lacks the same intensity. The first half of the film has many such dejavu moments, even though some of them are entertaining. Mr Chandramouli will definitely entertain you, especially with the father-son duo sparkling.

Film Companion

Karthik’s presence is a definite highlight. The father-son vibe obviously feels natural. The second half adds more emotional depth to their relationship. Regina has gone the extra mile for this film, dubbing on her own (sounding very similar to Andrea) and carrying herself well during the beach song. She plays a key role in the hero’s mission in the second half. Final Word: After a middling first half, Thiru resurrects his film in the latter half with interesting elements to hook the viewer.

Fans of the Navarasa Nayagan have much to feel disappointed as his character is poorly written and his performance for the very first time in his career comes across as labored and disconnected. Karthik is known as the king of romance but fails on that count too in a couple of scenes he has with a young girl (Surprise casting). Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in a cameo is a breeze and she shows a vulnerable side that is cute and very different from her authoritative screen presence shown so far. Verdict: Go for it if you are a fan of Gautham Karthik, Regina Cassandra and Varu.
