The film revolves around two middle-aged youngsters Kodaivaanan and Kolaivaanan, who are desperately looking out to marry their cousin girl Ranjitham (Harini). The reasons vary but… Finally, they decide to host a cricket match between teams lead by Kodaivaanan and Kolaivaanan. Sadagoppan Ramesh comes to the village for a personal reason, but is held as a captive and is insisted to train them cricket.

But as the reason behind winning cricket match changes, things get different as it’s not ‘Ranjitham’ as the goal, but the well being of villagers.

Sadagoppan Ramesh seems to have undergone so many rehearsals and has done a good job. He is so cool and unstrained with his performance. The cricketer-turned-actor can try his luck with films that have unique scripts and not commercial potboilers. Harini is the biggest minus in the film as her looks and performance levels are below average. If the makers had tried roping in a better actress, it would have been better.
