Puthagam is an tamil comedy - romance movie directed by small screen fame Vijay Adhiraj, who has featured in many TV serials .The film has Arya’s Younger brother Sathya and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles, tollywood star Jagapathi Babu, Actor-director Santhana Bharathi’s son Sanjay Bharathi and ‘Kadhalil Sodhapuvadu Yeppadi’ fame Vignesh will be seen in pivotal roles.  Puthagam movie story is about Sathya, Sanjay and Vignesh are three youngsters who leave their village to earn a living. Sathya studies through correspondence, Sanjay works in courier and Vignesh is a hair stylist. Rakul Preet Singh, who plays a journalist happens to meet Sathya and love blossoms between them.  The director says that the film will be a new experience to watch and is an episode in every individual’s life. James Vasanthan has scored the film’s album which has four songs among which two tracks have been recorded in Texas.
