Sethupathi Story

Sethupathi is a Tamil action film written and directed by S.U Arun Kumar. Produced by Shan Sutharsan under Vansan Movies, it features Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan in the lead roles.

The young director has collaborated with his debut film hero Vijay Sethupathi who plays a cop for the first time in this film. Remya Nambeesan is acting as VijaySethupathi's female lead after the super hit 'Pizza'. The pair act as the parents of two kids in the film and the film is touted to have good scope for sentiment and emotions that will cater well to the family audience.

Sethupathi Plot:

Like many other cop films, Sethupathi is based on the professional and personal life of a police officer. How does this film differs from other similar flicks? It's the characterization of the lead actor and how he balances between being a family man and a ruthless cop.

Generally, the life of an upright policeman will have its own set of dramas. One such interesting incident comes with a potential of putting Vijay Sethupathi's career in jeopardy.

How he overcomes this situation forms the crux of Sethupathi.

Vela Ramamoorthy has acted in the lead negative role. The supporting cast of the film includes Vivek Prasanna, Arputhan Vijay and Linga have acted in important supporting roles.

Production

Shooting for the film began in late September 2015 and Shan Sutharsan and his entire team are planning for the movie to be released in February 2016. The entire filming process has been planned in a single stretch of 60 days, in places such as Chennai, Madurai and Pollachi. The plot is said to be tailor-made for Vijay Sethupathi and would be an unexpected mass variation from director Arunkumar.

The actor would play a law and order inspector and he would be sporting a new look, shedding some weight to look fit and trim. Music director of the film Nivas K Prasanna has finalled the songs with Anirudh singing in one of them. There will be five songs in the film, including a police anthem, and they will be quite commercial.
