Vada Chennai (aka) Vadachennai is a Tamil movie direction by National award winning director Vettrimaran. Story In Detail The plot of Vada Chennai is set against the backdrop of North Chennai and the story spans within the time period of 1987 - 2003. In the year 1987, the group Guna (Samuthirakani), Senthil (Kishore), Pazhani (Dheena) and Velu (Pavan) killed a big shot gangster and they discuss the replacement of his place. Anbu (Dhanush), who learns to play carrom hoping to become a state level carrom player. Also, he wants to stay away from the dark side of his neighborhood and become a respectable government employee. Anbu makes love interest with Padma (Aishwarya Rajesh), who is bold and straightforward. Anbu gets become close to Senthil’s gang when he was inside the jail with him and even he earns the trust of Senthil. Later Anbu commits a murder for the favor of another group. Here he gets to know about the other gangster Rajan (Ameer), the leader of the fishermen, and Chandra (Andrea), then Anbu stands for his people. How his life gets intervened in the gang wars between two different groups is the rest of the story to be watched on the big screen. View:   Interesting Photos & First Look Posters From Vada Chennai Vada Chennai is a trilogy and it is the first part of three movies that has hit the theatres now. Reports have also surfaced that the 20 % of shoot of the second part of the film has already been completed. Vetri Maaran and Dhanush were supposed to begin work on Soodhadi in March 2014. But Dhanush had busy with some other projects. Later director took up Visarani, which has Dinesh and Kayal fame Anandhi in the lead. Initially Simbu signed for Vada Chennai movie and he opted out from the project. Samantha opted out of the film citing scheduling issues caused by the film suddenly becoming a trilogy and was replaced by Amala Paul in the leading female role. Vijay Sethupathi also agreed to portray an extended cameo in the film, with Dhanush announcing his inclusion during July 2016. In early 2017, Vijay Sethupathi and Amala Paul opted out of the project owing to a delay in the shoot, with the latter being immediately replaced by  Aishwarya Rajesh .   Release  The film’s first look poster released on 8th March 2018. The movie trailer of VadaChennai (Part 1) will be launched on 28th July and movie scheduled to release on 17th October, 2018 . The movie cleared censor with 'A' certificate. Santhosh Narayanan composes music for this movie, Santhosh is collaborating first time with director Vetrimaran and second time with Dhanush after the Kodi. The audio of the movie was launch on the mid of Sept 2018.
