The story of the film sets in Chennai's gritty slums with prostituting eunuchs and murders at the backdrop. The movie starts-off with the flashback of Karthi (Nani) and Balaji (Muthu Kumar), who are in streets after their mother died and father Jothi (Shimmore) left home. Balaji, who is kind at heart, brings up his brother. Their neighbour Revathy (Nithya Menon) is madly in love with Karthi and their close buddy is Vishnu (Karthik Kumar). Their life will be normal till Vishnu falls in love with a prostitute named Viji (Bindu Madhavi). In the meantime, Jothi, who is a pimp, comes to know about his love. In a bid to take her away from the flesh job, Vishnu loses his life. What happens next should be seen on-screen.
